The Ewers Brothers team up with Hollywood director Tom Dey to produce a feature length documentary about a brand new concept in education in 1963- a program fathered by President Kennedy to give promising but disadvantaged minority Americans equal opportunity to a quality preparatory school education- and do so amidst an era of civil disobedience and segregation. While it sought to provide “A Better Chance,” for the first group of participating children, it also created seemingly insurmountable cultural barriers.
